The following is included to assist members when looking at insurance options. This information is relayed to you through a Consumer's Guide to Dive Insurance as written in the October 2002 Rodale's Diving Magazine. It is the divers responsibility to research the various insurance options in order to receive information that is up-to-date, and to choose the plan that best fits their vacation needs. Comments - Both plans cover nondiving medical emergencies while on vacation. AIG assist "Travel Protection" benefit includes extra tickets, hotels, etc., for policy holder and travel companion because of the emergency. Premium includes Dive Assure Association membership.
"How is dive equipment covered by Dive Assure's programs?" - The answer depends upon the program that you choose.
Gold: - If your equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen during a diving accident or evacuation we will cover up to $2,500.
Platinum: - If you equipment is lost, damaged or stolen during a diving accident or evacuation wi will cover up to $5,000.
Diamond: if your equipment is lost, damaged or stolen during a diving accident or evacuation, OR while on a dive trip we will cover up to $5,000. Also with Diamond, if your equipment is delayed, we will cover rental equipment for 5 days up to $200 per day.
